Ain't It Fun - ParamoreI don't mind letting you down easy But just give it time If it don't hurt now then just wait, just wait a while You're not the big fish in the pond no more You are what they're feeding on So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you? So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you? Ain't it fun living in the real world Ain't it good being all alone Where you're from You might be the one who's running things Well, you can ring anybody's bell to get what you want You see, it's easy to ignore a trouble When you're living in a bubble So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you? So what are you gonna do when nobody wants to fool with you? Ain't it fun living in the real world Ain't it good being all alone Ain't it good to be on your own Ain't it fun you can't count on no one Ain't it good to be on your own Ain't it fun you can't count on no one Ain't it fun living in the real world Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world Ain't it fun Ain't it fun Baby, now you're one of us Ain't it fun Ain't it fun Ain't it fun |
Ain't It Fun is a very famous song by the band Paramore. Although this song might not be exactly about individualism, to me it shows a subtle hint to it. This songs directed towards someone who is just realizing that what they thought was important in their little world is actually not important in the real world, and this song is about the person realizing that their actions in high school or other small settings is going to count for nothing when they get to the real world. This song reminds me of popularity in high school. People conform to try to be popular in high school, and change who they really are or want to be to fit in and be popular and mean. "Where you're from you might be the one who's running things," smaller picture here, when you are popular in high school and "run things" it doesn't mean you run things in the real world. This songs proof that it's not worth conforming to society and to be popular in high school, because is the real world none of that will matter.
